The opener of the 2020 CanPL season, a rematch of the 2019 final, sees Forge and Cavalry on the road to the Potato Cup.
while Cape Breton are the “home” team, this is very much a road game, in what could easily have been a final had the draw panned out differently. Cory Bent, Charlie Waters, and Peter Schaale were getting a lot of love after yesterday’s display, but this will be their key test.
While neither team managed the brilliant moments of Cape Breton or Montreal yesterday, this may quietly be the better semi-final, as both sides are capable of some run-and-gun football and catastrophic mistakes at the back. That’s a semi-final in a nutshell.
