CanPL Final Leg 2: Cavalry v. Forge (Nov. 2, 2019)

Here we all are at the end of the road. This afternoon (or tonight, on CBC), somebody gets the keys to the castle.

The whole league has built towards this, and from day one these teams have been a cut above. Forge were better in the first leg, as they have been since about mid-season when Bobby Smyrniotis made a key adjustment to play Anthony Novak and Forge became the team everyone thought it would be.

Tommy Wheeldon Jr. has fallen back on just about every possible motivator this week: just another game, home “pitch” advantage, the fans–all of which are advantages for a mentally tough team that is very much still in the tie.

I’m cheering for Forge, though. Just so you know.

The liveblog will start at 4:15pm and go until it’s done.
